Practise objection handling with a role-play
Rehearse the three objections you hear most, with an assistant playing a sceptical buyer.
The task
New reps learn objection handling live, on real prospects. Rehearse instead: describe your buyer and the objections you hear most, and have the assistant play the buyer, push back, and give you feedback after each round.
A prompt to start from
Paste it into your AI assistant, then fill in the bits in [square brackets].
Play the role of [role] at a [size, sector] company evaluating [type of product]. You're sceptical and busy. Raise this objection: "[objection, e.g. we already have something that does this]".
After each of my replies, respond in character. After three exchanges, step out of character and tell me: - What landed and what didn't - Whether I answered the real concern or a different one - One thing to try next time
Be blunt. Don't praise me unless it's earned.
What to check in the output
- The assistant's "buyer" is a simulation. Use it to practise structure and calm, not to learn what real buyers think.
- If its feedback contradicts your sales leader's guidance, follow your sales leader.
Before you paste anything in
Nothing sensitive needed. Avoid naming real prospects.
Your organisation's AI policy wins over anything here.
