Summarise customer interviews into messaging insights
Find the words customers use for their problem, across several interview transcripts.
The task
The best messaging uses customers' own words. Give the assistant several anonymised interview transcripts and ask it to pull out how customers describe the problem, the alternatives they tried, and what made them choose you, with exact quotes.
A prompt to start from
Paste it into your AI assistant, then fill in the bits in [square brackets].
Below are anonymised transcripts of customer interviews. Across all of them, find: 1. How customers describe the problem before they found us (exact quotes) 2. What they tried before, and why it fell short 3. The moment or trigger that made them look for something new 4. Words and phrases that come up more than once
Quote exactly and say which interview each quote comes from. Don't summarise into marketing language.
[paste transcripts]
What to check in the output
- Check quotes are exact and attributed to the right interview.
- A phrase from one enthusiastic customer isn't a pattern.
Before you paste anything in
Get consent for using interviews this way and remove names, companies and identifying details first.
Your organisation's AI policy wins over anything here.
More for Marketing
Repurpose a long article into social posts
Turn one blog post or report into a handful of short posts that each make one point.
Write a creative brief from a messy request
Turn an email thread asking for "a campaign" into a one-page brief with the questions it doesn't answer.
Generate headline and subject line variations to test
Ten distinct angles for a headline or email subject line, so your A/B test compares ideas, not synonyms.
