Draft a follow-up email after a demo
A short, specific follow-up that recaps what the prospect cared about, not what you showed.
The task
Post-demo emails tend to list features. A better one plays back the prospect's own problems, links each to what they saw, and asks for one clear next step. Give the assistant your call notes and let it draft; you edit for tone.
A prompt to start from
Paste it into your AI assistant, then fill in the bits in [square brackets].
Draft a follow-up email to [name, role] after today's demo. Keep it under 150 words, plain text, no exclamation marks.
Structure: - One line thanking them, referring to something specific they said. - Three bullets: a problem they mentioned, then what they saw that addresses it. - One clear next step with a proposed date.
My notes from the call: [paste notes]
What to check in the output
- Delete any feature or claim you didn't actually show or can't stand behind.
- Check names, job titles and the proposed date.
- Read it as the prospect. Does it sound like you?
Before you paste anything in
Fine for notes about the conversation. Don't paste pricing approvals or discount authorisations from internal threads.
Your organisation's AI policy wins over anything here.
