Turn meeting notes into actions and owners
From rough notes or a transcript to a short list of decisions and actions, each with an owner and date.
The task
Meetings end without anyone writing down who's doing what. Paste the notes or transcript and ask for decisions, actions, owners and dates only, then send it to attendees within the hour.
A prompt to start from
Paste it into your AI assistant, then fill in the bits in [square brackets].
From these meeting notes, list: 1. Decisions made (one line each) 2. Actions: what, who, by when. If no owner or date was agreed, write "No owner" or "No date" rather than guessing. 3. Open questions nobody answered
Nothing else: no summary of the discussion.
[paste notes or transcript]
What to check in the output
- Check owners agreed to their actions. Assistants assign actions to whoever mentioned them.
- "No owner" items are the ones to chase.
Before you paste anything in
Meeting transcripts can include confidential or personal information. Check your AI policy for recorded meetings, and tell attendees if you're recording.
Your organisation's AI policy wins over anything here.
